Our "Be Prepared" page has several government links to help you get your family prepared for emergencies. Check out the "Solar for Emergencies" blog. for updates on all kinds of solar and preparedness topics.

EarthToys.com has put links to our six articles using solar energy products for emergencies in their October newsletter. Great solar news articles in EarthToys.com's current newsletter (or visit their library and industry links).

You may want to visit our new discussion group called "Prepare America". Please take a few moments to respond to the threads, or submit your own discussion topics. Also, there are great planning guides on the "Homeland Security Advisor" link on our 'Be Prepared' page. We've added a new page on Communication in Emergencies, and we've published a simple, yet valuable one hour battery condition chart you will want to copy and paste to have readily available.

Our "Links" Page is now our "Resource" Page with continuing added links to important information. Recently added were links to several articles published in Backwoods Home Magazine. Over the years I have found a wealth of information on BHM pages.

                  This site is a result of the many requests by email, phone and mail for information on using solar energy products for emergency preparedness. I have attempted to put relevant information and links on these pages to help individuals and families with their preparation considerations. For over two years I have kept up the "Solar for Emergencies" blog and have had generaly good reviews of the site. Either way, this information could be useful to you, as it has helped many others who have suffered the ravages of disasters.
